Re: (SF) shooting partner?
Wed, October 22, 2003 - 6:57 PMHave you ever shot before? They're bitches about using a lane by yourself as well. -

Re: (SF) shooting partner?
Wed, October 22, 2003 - 11:15 PMIndeed. Apparently they went through a spate of folks commiting suicide.
No five day waiting period to rent a gun, so why not head on down to your local gun range and blow your brains out there?
In the meantime, they look very carefully at loners who come in to rent guns.
A shame from any way you look at it. -

Thu, October 23, 2003 - 10:08 AMWow that's incredibly fucked up...
Only in SF I guess... -

Re: (SF) shooting partner?
Thu, October 23, 2003 - 12:40 PMSuicides for single lane users? What about suicide pacts? I mean there are groups of wackos in the city. I guess people who blow their brians out are don't have a friend to go along for the ride. -

Re: (SF) shooting partner?
Thu, October 30, 2003 - 3:05 PMIt's hard to coordinate suicide...
If you're ready to go, you're ready to go NOW.
it's one of those do or die urges...

Re: (SF) shooting partner?
Sun, February 1, 2004 - 12:56 AMA couple of friends of mine were at On Target in Laguna Niguel, CA when a guy came in, rented a gun and dove head first in to the shallow end of the gene pool. As far as I know though, they don't have any restrictions on single shooters. -

Re: (SF) shooting partner?
Fri, January 16, 2004 - 7:03 AMThe only outdoor range I've been out to out here was, I believe, in Castro Valley. It was a decent range even if the rangemaster was anal about rapid fire. Jackson is indoors and some people don't like being enclosed with lots of shooting going on. I miss just being able to go out into the woods and just go shooting. My brother has a range on his property. Visiting him is always fun.

Re: (SF) shooting partner?
Sun, February 1, 2004 - 5:07 PMI'd be glad to go with you. I hate shooting alone. I have a .44 mag, but I prefer to rent a gun for two reasons...
A) I don't have to clean them.
B) I'm a recoil wussy.
I'm available on weekends and evenings.
Later,
Mike

Mon, October 17, 2005 - 8:56 PMMaybe they should have an express lane for the lone shooters. -
